I looked at Bones who was trying to finish the pancakes Gina had made him. Normally he'd be on his eighth pancake by now, but he was struggling to get down the two on his plate. The cancer treatment crushed his appetite.
Gina said out loud what I was thinking. "Do they have pigs at the Central Park Zoo?"
Bones answered with his mouth full, "I think so."
I had to set him straight. "Have you ever seen the movie Madagascar, you know, the one with all the animals at the Central Park Zoo?"
Bones immediately replied, "Three times. It's a classic."
"Okay, well, do you remember a pig in the story, ya fluffoon?"
Gina was laughing at our conversation. "You boys are absolutely nuts. What are you trying to figure out? Maybe I can help." I told Gina most of the story and, as much as I didn't believe half of what I was telling her, she still followed along.
