When Stevie’s dad and the eight other engineers refused to show the Suits how to power the prototypes, Chief pulled out his Foozle, partly in desperation, partly as an educated guess based on his training as an astrophysicist, and he pointed its beam into the Ching Charger. Chief discovered that his guess had been a good one.

Within seconds of pointing the Foozle into the charging port, Chief had sufficiently charged the prototype, and the LightYear app was ready for transport. The only issue was, the phone that Stevie had escaped with was the only one completely ready for transport.

Chief sat in the dark in the parking lot thinking about all the times he and his team had failed to capture the boys and the Ching. Now with the Foozle and Ching in hand, he could finally put this mission to rest. He felt a sense of relief, but he also felt something else nagging at him . . .

He sighed. He was sure this was going to be the stupidest decision of his entire career, but he couldn’t help it. He had to go back to those two boys . . . and that dog.
