On the screen was what appeared to be a Google map with nine red dots sitting at the bottom. And there was one blue dot. It was solid, not flashing or anything, on what appeared to be New York City.

Things were now getting on the silly side. The more they told me, the more I had to do my best not to burst out laughing again. But Bones was still sold on all of it.

“Lump, the blue dot means that the one engineer is still out there.”

I hated to burst their bubble, but it had to be done. “That’s if the guy isn’t kidnapped or dead.” I looked at Stevie and realized his father was in the same situation. “Sorry, Stevie, but even if this guy did escape, he could be anywhere in the world.”

I asked Stevie to expand the map so we could see exactly where the blue dot was located. I was right—it had landed right in the middle of New York City at the bottom edge of Central Park.
