A smile was on his face, but still I proceeded cautiously as we told him everything—how we had met Stevie Ching; how Stevie had gotten kidnapped by the Suits and then purposefully dropped his phone out of the helicopter; how we had been chased through the streets of New York City; how I had transported for the first time, to save Bones from the Suits in the subway; and finally, how we thought we could use the app to find the cure to cancer, but how it wouldn’t let us go into the future because a message had said “Subject Does Not Exist.”

Yogi remained silent the whole time. He had this far-off look in his eye, and every once in a while, he would frown a little, like he was confused, which, to be honest, would be totally understandable.

When Bones and I finally stopped talking, Yogi reached out and nodded at me. He wanted me to hand him Stevie’s phone. I did, but reluctantly. He stared at it for a bit, then he looked up and said, “So you boys are trying to use this boy Stevie’s phone to find the cure for cancer?”
