All I was thinking was, "And how are we going to do that, Bones? On our bikes?!"
Stevie thanked Bones and continued on with his story. There he was, crouched at the lab door, and he knew he had to get out of there fast. Even now, I saw the panic in his eyes as he said, "I know I must run. Or Stevie Ching is taking a nap!" (I knew he meant "kidnapped." I let it go.)
Just as he was about to bolt out of the lab, he looked down and saw the lone engineer who had escaped was on the floor reaching up for the door handle. He managed to get the door open and crawl inside the lab, where he went directly to the table with the prototypes. He counted nine and realized Stevie had the one working phone.
Stevie got all excited and said, "He tell me, ‘You have the one! Run, Chang! Leave China and no come back!'"
At that point, all I could think was how Stevie was a creative genius. He had basically retold the story of the "Star Trek Enterprise" but shrunk it down into an app on a smart phone.
