“Chief, the final question goes to you. If you get it right, you save the team and its mission. If not, you all fail and you will be eliminated from the organization.” 

The silence was deafening. 

Chief leaned into his microphone, but before he could speak, Stan piped in, “Um, Boss, I don’t think Joe got a question.” 

Stan needed Joe to get another zap to win his bet. “Thank you, Stan,” the Boss said. “We’ll have Joe answer instead.” 

Chief slumped in his seat and the other Suits glared at Stan for being a complete nimrod. Joe said into his microphone, “Come on, guys. Don’t you have any confidence in me?” 

Stan quipped, “Joe, you’ve never answered any question correctly other than ‘What’s your name?’ And you struggled with that one.” 

Nervous laughter rippled through the room, but it evaporated quickly when new footage appeared on the screen. It was the scene at the subway station.
