JUST PLAY ALONG

Stevie's father, Mr. Ching (and Stevie actually called him "Mr. Ching"), spent over ten years as an engineer on the LightYear project.

He said, "Mr. Ching make app long time with team. Team world smartest!"

Just before final testing of the app, Mr. Ching wanted his only son to see what they were about to accomplish. If the engineering team was successful, the new phones and the LightYear app would change the world forever.

"Mr. Ching no supposed take me to secret lab." Stevie was so excited he put both arms up in celebration. "But he does!" I looked over at Bones, and he had his ape arms up in celebration as well. Talk about a Dork Fest.

After his tour of the lab, Stevie was instructed to stay in a locked office so the engineering team could meet, their last meeting before the final testing. Of course Stevie was too smart to stay locked in a room. Now he got very serious. "I escape and find phones."

Stevie found the testing lab where the ten prototypes were kept. Somehow, in the few minutes he was there playing with the phones, he was able to discover that there was only one of them that was fully functional. Stevie was amazed at what it could do. That's when everything erupted—literally.
