But before I got completely sucked into this ridiculous story, I wanted to get a few things straight. I yelled over to Stevie in the kitchen, "How do you know that one engineer actually escaped from the secret lab?"

It seemed like the best place to start with my delusional friends. Bones got all excited because he obviously had asked the same question before I came over. He took Stevie's phone and brought up another cool app. I noticed he was using his finger to navigate and I asked, "How come you're not using your eyes like Ch-Ching?"

"I'm not very good at it, Lump. I tried it once and ended up downloading Queen's ‘Greatest Hits.'" He laughed at his own buffoonery.

He showed me the phone's screen as he explained, "This app was set up to track all ten engineers. Some security thing to make sure none of their secrets got stolen."

Stevie came over into the living room, very excited to show me more, and took the phone from Bones. He again used nothing more than his eyes to navigate. "All engineer now red dot. One engineer . . . blue."
