Yogi smiled, then said in a deep, bellowing voice, "G, Pump!" And G went flying off again.

Bones scratched his head as G sprinted out of sight. "What happened to the old man that lived here? And how did you get the yard so clean?"

Yogi slapped his leg and laughed. "Well, I did move some of the older cars to the northeast section of the property so you couldn't see them. I didn't think anybody had noticed, so thanks, boys!" Yogi paused. "But I'm not sure what you mean when you say β€˜old man' . . ."

G returned with a bike pump in her mouth. Yogi pumped up the tire and then commanded G to check it for leaks. G put her head next to the tireβ€”I guess she was listening for the sound of leaking. We all fell silent, then she barked loudly twice and I nearly jumped out of my pants.

Yogi chuckled and said, "OK, boys! You're good to go!"

"Thank you!" Bones said, shaking Yogi's hand enthusiastically. "Now I don't have to text my mom and ask her to come pick us up!"

Yogi looked at Bones as if he were speaking gibberish. "Text? What's that?"

Bones opened his mouth, but I cut in before he could launch into what would undoubtedly be a very confusing conversation for all of us. "Right! Yogi doesn't use the phone.

G does that for him."
