"Lump, we time traveled! Can you believe we just time traveled?!"

I like to think the second time you do something is definitely the coolest, and this was proof positive. It was awesome. My best friend and I had just traveled backward in time. I was in awe.

But Bones had stopped dancing and gone silent. He was now turning in a slow circle. "Hey, Lump. Everything looks completely . . ."

I waited for him to finish, but he didn't. I looked around. We were definitely standing in front of the Ridgewood train station, exactly where we had parked our bikes four hours ago, but he was right—something was really wrong.

"Different," I said, finishing Bones' sentence. "Everything looks completely different."
